David Richardson, CFP®

Executive Vice President & Financial Planner

David is an Executive Vice President and Financial Planner at Seven Springs Wealth Group.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, David was the former owner and president of Prudent Street Financial Advisors, a firm that managed over $300 million in assets while providing insurance services to individuals and corporations. Before starting his practice, David advised clients on behalf of Lincoln Financial Advisors for 17 years. His early professional experience includes work in public accounting for Touche Ross and Ernst & Young, as well as a product management position at the headquarters of United Parcel Service.

Raised working alongside his father, a Presbyterian pastor, and his grandfather, a Southern Baptist pastor, David has developed a service-oriented approach to planning and wealth management. His corporate experience and holistic mindset have enabled him to effectively work with high-net-worth business owners, professionals, executives, and retirees. His breadth of knowledge allows for a comprehensive analysis encompassing all aspects of an individual’s financial situation, including business continuity, estate conservation, wealth transfer, tax reduction and deferral, investment management, and retirement distribution. David consistently demonstrates a unique ability to deliver creative solutions to clients’ personal and often complex financial concerns.

David is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, earning a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentrations in marketing and entrepreneurial development. A former Certified Public Accountant (CPA), David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds other specialized designations, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He is also a former member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Financial Planning Association, and the Nashville Estate Planning Council.

When not advising clients, David enjoys the outdoors, exercising, attempting to golf, snow skiing, and relaxing with his wife, Stephanie, and their two cats. A long-time supporter of the TN Chapter of the Nature Conservancy and the Williamson County Animal Shelter, David advocates for protecting the environment and animals.

David is a former 20-year member of Brentwood United Methodist Church, having served as Chair of the Long-Range Research Team, a member of the Church’s Executive Council, an Andrew Minister, and a Room in the Inn shepherd. Currently, without a church home, David believes that thoughtful living and the expression of his Christian faith and its values should be the most important aspect of his life, today more than ever.
