Johnny H. Garrison III, CFA

Institutional Investment Advisor

Johnny H. Garrison III, CFA currently serves as an Institutional Investment Advisor at Seven Springs Wealth Group, where he advises corporate and nonprofit clients on the strategic management of defined contribution retirement plans, endowments, and foundations. In addition to his advisory responsibilities, Johnny plays a key role in driving institutional client business development and shaping the firm’s institutional asset management growth strategy.

With over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Johnny brings deep expertise in serving institutional clients. Prior to joining Seven Springs, he held senior leadership roles including Vice President, Senior Business Development Officer at PNC Institutional Asset Management, and Director of Sales & Strategy at Park Place Capital, a Renasant Bank Company. In these capacities, he partnered with institutional investors, fiduciaries, and nonprofit organizations to deliver tailored advisory solutions for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans, while optimizing asset management strategies. Johnny’s career spans several major financial markets - including Birmingham, South Florida, Atlanta, New York City, and Nashville - where he held key positions at firms such as Jefferies, Tradeweb Markets, Duncan-Williams, Inc., Amherst Pierpont, ABN Amro, and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Johnny earned a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance from the University of Alabama in 1994. He remains actively engaged with his alma mater, serving on the Board of Visitors for the Culverhouse College of Business, Co-Chairing the Culverhouse Capital Campaign Committee, representing the college on the Steering Committee of the Rising Tide Capital Campaign, and contributing as a member of the Executive Education Advisory Board.

Johnny holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society Nashville. His leadership within the Society includes prior service on the Board of Directors, as Vice President, and Chair of the Planning Committee. He currently contributes as a committee member for the Greater Tennessee Research Challenge.

He resides in Forest Hills with his wife of 19 years, Lindsay, and their daughter, Margaret Lee. Outside of work, Johnny enjoys traveling and exploring the vibrant culture and community of his adopted hometown of Nashville.
